This architectural project gave the Palace of Versailles a new entrance area, the floor of which was fitted with the Versailles parquet in its original format made of SPIN\u00ae Ferrite and SPIN\u00ae Brass from Hoba Steel. Other rooms and corridors were given floorboards. Seven staircases were fitted with steps made of SPIN\u00ae ferrite.<\/p>

Modern materials such as ferrite steel and brass were used to translate the long and complex architectural history of Versailles Palace into a contemporary museum building. The design and the original laying pattern were consistently retained. The 17th century Pavillon Dufour was transformed into the museum’s central, highly frequented visitor area.<\/p>

A precise and innovative stamping technique combined with genuine craftsmanship enabled Hoba Steel to produce this traditional made from ferrite steel. Individual parts were punched to exact dimensions with a specific edge rounding. The elements are joined together on joined together.<\/p>

The play of colours in the black and blue steel makes the SPIN\u00ae Ferrite Versailles parquet an authentic design highlight.<\/p>
